I decided to stay here when coming to town to see a game at Loan Depot Park. It was a one night stay and wanted somewhere close to airport with a pool. Well, can't get much closer to the airport and the pool was nice. People say there is lots on noise but your right on a busy road and planes takin off literally right across the road. Honestly sitting in room watching airport was entertaining. Staff was great and all areas were clean. Great value with free parking. Would stay again.

Stayed for one night prior to my early morning flight. Convenient location to Miami airport, but NOISY. Perhaps all hotels near the airport have this issue. Hotel and rooms were clean. Great value. Staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

Ok. I booked Candlewood Suites Miami Airport to change brand after too many Holiday Inn Expresses. And I’ve stayed at Candlewood Suites before. So today, when I landed at MIA, I figured the shuttle to the hotel would be a smooth transition and I’d be at the hotel and in my room reasonably quickly. But, the shuttle was MIA at MIA. I watched shuttle after shuttle come and go, three times for some shuttles for far less expensive hotels. Finally, after waiting an hour, one finally turned up. And by the time I got to the hotel, I was pretty angry. To his credit, Jorge, who checked me in handled it admirably. But I learned that the shuttle no longer runs as a shuttle, and has become “on call”. But that information is neither on the website or in the arrival email I received. And some people don’t have a phone. I don’t. I’m still angry that many many other hotel shuttles are the normal every 20 minutes, but not Candlewood. Had I known I’d have booked at one of the other IHG hotels whose shuttles did run every twenty minutes. Once checked in, my room was fine and what I expected from a Candlewood or Springhill-type hotel. Spacious with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. The location of the hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the airport and there are a few restaurants a short walk from the hotel. It’s a fairly safe area to walk around. The hotel is a four, but my anger about the shuttle and the car they said they reserved for my departure which did not come at my departure time, and they (the morning staff) had no record of the reservation the night staff said they had made) makes it a two for me. No way will I be staying here again. Not a good experience.

This is a very new hotel, so everything was clean and not yet rundown! The rooms (suites) are a decent size - with a separate bedroom and a living room and kitchen area. The bedroom was much nicer than the living room, which has a stained, uncomfortable sofa. There is nothing near the hotel (except for a decent restaurant next door) so it's not a place where you can walk out the door and find things. The shuttle from the airport was efficient and it's close by. In sum, it was fine - being new bumped up my rating a bit.

Unexpectedly, amazing! close to airport, new, clean, quiet. Great restaraunt next door. Free parking. Couldnt hope for a better place, especially in Florida where everything is usually run down and unpleasant. Well done, Candlewood suites!
